PARIS - My Place Of Inspiration and Motivation

I have always been about inspiration, using different sources of inspiration to congure up ideas!. I get inspiration from being a certain places that attract me, pictures of places, fashion ofcourse, jewelry, food and nature!. I often also use inspiration as motivation, to keep myself on the track, keep focused and remind myself of why I work hard!. There is one special place that I have been before, that has been a total and forever inpsiration to me..Paris. I traveled Europe a couple of years back and I when I arrived in Paris, I was so taken back and overwhelmingly inspired and still am. I loved everthing about Paris from the architecture of the buildings, the stylish people, the food, the energy to the Parisian culture, to the men!

At the moment Im needing motivation more than ever, im writing exams and I right now I need to be reminded why I need to work hard and accomplish the goals that I have set myself, and considering the fact that I cant go to Paris right now, pictures are the best I can do!!

Exam Mania..Took a tiny break!!

Hey all my fellow readers...

Ok so I have officially started my exams!! My first exam wasn't to bad at all. It was a pleasantly good start to the exam mania...which is still carrying on! But I have to admit, yesterday I gave myself the day off, I thought it was a well deserved and well needed break from the books. I went shopping, saw a movie and had a delish lunch with my man!

Its now friday morning, and I need to get back to the books asap. considering Im writing an on MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. I know, how dreadful is that!!. Im literally not going to have any sleep this weekend!!. The one thing I really am looking forward to this weekend is the fact that my very dear friend,Kita is coming home for a holiday from Taiwan!!! Its going to be great to see her!!!

Celeb Style At Cannes

So close but so far from freedom!!

Well its Tuesday, 3:32pm here in Durbs and Im chilling on my balcony. I start my exams tomorrow, D-day is just one night way! I have officially got to the point where if I have to have another look at my Pracice of Marketing text book, Im going to go crazy!. So I thought I would have a very needed break from the study pressures and go the place where I always feel great..right here! Even though my exams start tomorrow, they are over pretty quickly, by next week thurs, I WILL BE FREE!! I will have all the time in the world to do what I want and when I want. I have so many things I want to do, the list of things just keeps growing and growing! From putting together Shoot No.4 to organising the photo shoot for my best friends magazine practical, to working in the wardrobe department for a movie called Florida road to a bunch of DIY projects I have my eye on, to being part of the City Bowl Mizers music videos!!

There is just so much to look forward to!!

Contemplating Blog Name Change

Hmmm, I have to confess something, Im contemplating about changing the name of my blog! Am I crazy?....or just bored with the name...Im not totally sure what I want to change it to but I would really like to have a French essense to it. I would like to know what you think, whether you think the need is needed or not....you tell me!

Summer 09 Trend: 80's Demin Jackets

Denim jackets have officially made their way back to the fashion trends!! I cant say that Im complaining though. The denim jacket is one of the most versitile items that you can have your wardrobe, a denim jacket goes with everything from mini dresses, to long dresses to skirts to tights. A denim jacket is like a having those pair of jeans that fit perfectly and go with everything!. The one thing you DONT EVER wear with a denim jacket, is another denim item like a pair of jeans! Its a big no no.

Eva - This is one AMAZING dress! The waves of the matetial of the bottom half of the dress is just magical and so artistic!. This is dress is by Versace, ofcourse. Who else will make such a inoovative dress like this??..no one!. Even the patterns with in the material of the dress are amazing. Its as if the dress has a maze of its own, i get lost in a wonderful just glancing at it! This is defintely the best dress that I have seen on the red carpet so far!!

Cannes Festival Has Begun!!

Its official, the Cannes Film Festival has begun! The reason why this is so exciting is purely because there is definitely going to be divine fashion and glamour!!. Great Exciting News: Florida Road!!

Today I found out that I will be able to be apart of the wardrobe crew of a movie that is going to be filmed right here in my home town, Durban! The movie is called Florida Road. The filming starts next week and ends around the middle of the June. Im really excited about it because its going to be a great experience where I will be able to learn so much and meet some great people!. A friend of my mine, Candice, whos is a popular and established make up artist and stylist is head of the wardrobe crew and she said that I will be able to be part of the excitement!! It so great to know that I have just another thing to look forward to after my exams!!

My Next Photo Shoot Inspiration Source

Im still very busy with my studies, but in my free time, what is on my mind is what Im going to get up to in my holidays. One of the many things that I have my holiday agenda is planning for my photo shoot, so that I can carry on building up my styling experience and also continue to build my portfolio!. I have been thinking of ideas and searching for inspiration as I always do in the begining of planning a photo shoot. I found some great sources of inspiration today, the photos below is where I am getting it from at the moment. Each photo is has different inspiration for different reasons, from wardrobe styling ideas, to lighting ideas, to location ideas!!

Todays Summer Outfit Inspiration is feminine with a touches of strong elements by using colours such as olive green and mustard yellow. The strong elements come in with the olive green tones in the high heeled sandals and the the mustard yellow tone in the feather earings. Journaling!!

Its the middle of the week..I have to say this week has been going at a OH SO stylish but pretty slow pace...The whole year, I have been thinking to myself how quick every week goes by. Its insane how time can just fly by without you even noticing!..I wonder what that means??..does it mean you having a good time?...or is the sense time just not something we realise anymore with the fast paced lives we live?...At the begining of every week, I think to myself Ok this week is going to be productive, Im going to get loads of stuff accomplished. But the when the end of week arrives it feels like I havent really done much with my time, or have i?...maybe I expect myself to accomplish to much in a small space of time...or what I do get done is actually good enough..maybe...maybe not!

Today I will be continueing my very exciting (said in a very sarcastic tone!!) studying schedule, will be starting with stats and then moving on to Consumer and Buyer Behavior...yes you can clearly read how exciting it will be!!!...Its exactly 14 days till the start of my end of semester exams!. I really cant wait for my exams to be over..Im in the progress of planning a romantic holiday for me and boyfriend to a stunning country call Mozambique...google it..you see what Im talking about!!!.

Todays Style Of The Day was using the military jacket, which has been very popular of late and combining the jacket with romantic pieces like the feminine ballet style skirt and scarf!...let me know what you think of it!!
